Dr. Nyo Tun Aung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Wa People’s Army (UWSA) and Rakhine Army (AA) Deputy Commander-in-Chief Dr. Nyo Tun Aung said that good results were obtained from the meeting this month. He said that he could not reveal exactly what the main topics were discussed when the UWSA and the AA Deputy Chief of Staff met.
At present, the Rakhine Army AA is fighting with the Military Council forces in Palatwa Townships of Rakhine State and Chin State, and has blocked the military council’s military bases in the border areas. There is even the seizure of camps.
On September 16, FPNCC member organizations of the Union Political Discussion and Coordination Committee, Wa Payi Unity Army (UWSA), Special Regions of Myanmar (4) NDAA, Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA); Shan State Development Party Shan State Army SSPP / SSAA Rakhine Army AA Ta’an National Liberation Army (TNLA) leaders held a meeting in ‘Wa’ region.
In the news, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) did not attend the meeting, but it was only the top leaders of the KIA who were not able to attend, and the members attended and discussed. Dr. Nyo Tun Aung said that the group’s meeting last year was restricted due to the covid-19 epidemic, and the member organizations were not able to meet.
He said that when the FPNCC member forces met, there was a discussion focused on the ability to work with the young leaders of the new generation.
